World Go Round

What makes this crazy world go round
Is it faith or hope or love

To what is our effort and purpose bound
some divine drive from above

Does anyone really know what it is
Maybe it’s different for each of us

Maybe it is the basest of things
Like power, and money, and lust

I know what it is for me
the pursuit to know myself

And that those counted in my tribe
Have freedom, happiness, and health
