It’s Raining

It’s raining here
I just wanted you to know
And I can hear it falling
which means I am still alive

And I’m still here
It was hit or miss for a while
I could feel myself falling
But I did not drown or die

It’s washing clean
All the foulness from the air
And the things that crushed my soul
Pain and guilt for all i’d done

I’m feeling clean
And ready for a fresh start
I’m finally feeling whole
And I’m ready to move on
